Extra reading materials? I had been browsing through my reading materials this morning and came across this reply.

Encyclopedia of World Feminisms, for starters.

Or look at the yearly UN publication on the status of women in every country around the world.

We have an Encyclopedia of Sex which outlines sexual mores and laws in each country, so you could check out reproductive rights, rape laws etc for each nation.

Also the Encyclopedia of Suffrage has a great article about how Japanese Women got the vote - it's quite a story. And there is a great website, google Parliamentary Participation to find it, which will outline how many japanese women vote, serve in government, etc.
